24/7 coverage

Onboarding review that keeps going after your team logs off

Sweat AI · Updated

Sweat AI is an AI-native BPO for banks and fintechs, starting with back-office workflows like KYB, onboarding and fraud reviews. This page is about when we work: 24/7, including nights, weekends and holidays, so the KYB and onboarding queue you leave in the evening is done when your team logs in.

The Monday problem

Business applicants do not stop applying at 6 PM on Friday. Merchants sign up after a partner announces a launch. A marketing campaign lands on a Saturday. A holiday week leaves two analysts covering for five. By Monday morning the manual review queue has doubled, the oldest applications are four days old, and some of those applicants have already signed with someone else.

Most teams handle this in one of three ways: they accept the backlog, they pay for weekend overtime, or they build a shift rota that is expensive to staff and hard to keep. None of those change the shape of the problem. The applications still arrive when your team is not there.

How overnight and weekend coverage works

You hand over the queue

At the end of your day (or continuously, if you prefer), applications that need manual review come to us. That can be through your case management tool, a shared queue or our workspace, whichever fits how your team already works. We agree the handover points during onboarding.

We work it while you are offline

Analysts working with AI tools pick up each application and run it to your policy: entity verification, ownership and control, screening, business model checks and a review of the documents supplied. What is in each review is on the KYB review page.

Every finding is recorded with its source, the time it was captured and its limits. Anything we could not find ourselves goes on one consolidated request list for the applicant.

It is done when your team logs in

When your team starts the day, the queue is worked. Each application is in one of three states:

  1. Ready for your decision, with an evidence packet and a recommendation.
  2. Waiting on the applicant, with the exact items still needed and why, ready for you to send.
  3. Escalated, because it met one of your escalation criteria. You already know about these; see below.

Your approvers spend the morning deciding instead of investigating. The sample KYB review shows what they open.

Escalation for urgent and high-risk cases

Some cases should not wait for the morning. During onboarding you tell us what those are. Common examples:

  • A potential sanctions match that we cannot rule out with the identifiers available.
  • Signs that the documents supplied are altered or belong to a different entity.
  • An applicant already live on a product (for example, a merchant processing before full review) whose findings suggest you should act now.
  • A case your policy says requires immediate senior review, such as a politically exposed owner.
  • Anything a partner bank or provider requires you to act on within a set time.

When one of these comes up, we contact your named escalation contact right away through the channel you choose, with the evidence gathered so far and a short statement of why it was escalated. We keep working the rest of the queue while you decide.

What we do not do is act on the escalation ourselves. Freezing an account, declining an applicant, stopping settlement or filing a suspicious activity report are your decisions, taken under your program. Our Terms of Service say so directly: every decision and every adverse action remains yours.

What 24/7 coverage does not change

  • Your policy. We work to your KYB policy, thresholds and risk appetite, day or night. If a case falls outside them, we flag it; we do not improvise.
  • Your decision. Approval stays with your team. We make sure the evidence is ready when they sit down to decide.
  • Your applicant relationship. We draft requests; you decide whether we send them, and under whose name.
  • Your oversight. You can see what we did on each case, what we read and when, and ask us why.

Where this fits

Round-the-clock coverage matters most where applications arrive around the clock and delays cost you the customer:

The same coverage applies to fraud and alert queues; see fraud and alert review.

Sizing it

If you want to see what your weekend backlog costs before you talk to anyone, the onboarding backlog calculator uses only your own numbers: applications per week, review time and how many arrive outside office hours.

Start with one weekend

The easiest way to judge overnight coverage is to try it on a real queue. Talk to us about handing over one batch of applications before a weekend, and look at what is waiting for your team on Monday morning. How the flow runs end to end is on how it works.

Questions

Do you really work weekends and holidays?

Yes. The team works 24/7, including weekends and public holidays. Applications you hand over on Friday evening are worked over the weekend.

What does done when your team logs in mean?

It means the applications you handed over are worked by the start of your team's day: each one has an evidence packet and a recommendation, or is waiting on a specific item from the applicant that we have already listed. Coverage terms are agreed per engagement.

What happens with an urgent case at 3 AM?

It goes to your named escalation contact straight away, by the channel you choose, with the evidence we have so far. We follow your escalation rules on what counts as urgent.

Can Sweat AI approve applicants overnight so they can start transacting?

No. Approval stays with your team. What we can do is have the review, evidence and recommendation ready, so your approver starts from assembled evidence instead of starting the investigation from scratch.

Can you contact applicants overnight?

Only if you authorize it. By default we prepare the consolidated request list and you decide whether and how to send it.

Which time zones do you cover?

Coverage is continuous, so it does not depend on your time zone. Tell us where your team and your applicants are and we will agree handover times and escalation hours with you.
