Parcha is now Grep AI: what changed, and the alternatives for KYB review

Sweat AI · Updated

Sweat AI is an AI-native BPO for banks and fintechs, starting with back-office workflows like KYB, onboarding and fraud reviews. Parcha was one of the best-known AI agent companies for KYB and compliance. It has since rebranded as Grep AI and widened its focus. If you used Parcha, or shortlisted it, this page explains what changed and lays out the alternatives. Everything about other companies is quoted from their own pages, read on September 30, 2026.

What changed: Parcha is now Grep AI

Parcha's homepage now leads with an announcement: "Parcha is now Grep AI." It continues: "We retired Parcha's original product line to focus on Grep AI, a new platform for automating research-intensive, high-stakes knowledge work with AI agents."

For banking and fintech customers the page adds: "Our commitment to accelerating compliance workflows hasn't changed. Grep AI agents are already automating compliance work across multiple global fintechs and banks." Past clients are pointed to support@parcha.ai for "Accounts, contracts, and data retention." Grep's site footer names the company as "Parcha Labs, Inc.," backed by Y Combinator, Kindred Ventures and Initialized.

The origin story is the same. The Parcha page says the founders "ran compliance, risk and infrastructure at Brex" and that "Grep is the same engine, aimed wider."

What Grep AI offers

Grep describes itself as a "Managed agent workforce" and "Self-improving agents for repetitive tasks." Its business page explains the model: "Define the work. Grep selects the models and tools, then deploys the agent to your team." Users can "Set a price ceiling and an accuracy floor."

KYB is one use case among many. Grep's agent catalog lists "KYC • KYB • AML: Registries, UBO & beneficial owners. Screen vs sanctions / PEP lists" alongside vendor risk, contract review, patent research, talent sourcing and investment diligence. Its homepage headline stats are "250+ built-in skills · 99.7% accuracy · 5× more output per $". Those are Grep's figures. We have not tested them.

Pricing is self-serve and published: a free trial with 100 one-time credits, Pro at $200 a month, Ultra at $500 a month, pay-as-you-go wallets and team plans. Developers connect through an API, an MCP server and a published skills library.

In short, Grep is software you configure. Your team defines the procedure, deploys the agent and reviews what it returns.

The alternatives, by what you actually need

People who looked at Parcha usually wanted one of three things. The right alternative depends on which.

1. "I want KYB agents my team configures and runs"

  • Grep AI itself, if a general agent platform suits you.
  • Middesk Agents. Middesk describes "Specialized agents that research, verify, and resolve," built for "CIP, CDD, EDD, and merchant risk," on top of its business identity data.
  • Sphinx AI analysts. Sphinx's homepage describes "AI compliance analysts that clear KYB & AML cases in minutes, adding instant capacity with zero integration or onboarding."
  • Bretton's platform. Bretton describes "AI-native operations for your back-office workflows" and also sells a managed service.

With any of these, your analysts still supervise the agents and own each outcome.

2. "I want the KYB queue worked for me"

If the goal was fewer cases for your own analysts to touch, a managed service fits better than a platform. Options include Sphinx Frontline, Bretton Managed Services, traditional KYC outsourcing providers, and Sweat AI. The comparison hub explains the differences.

3. "I want better business data"

If what you needed was registry, ownership and screening data behind an API, a KYB data platform is the better fit. See Middesk and Sweat AI for how data platforms and review services fit together.

Choose Grep AI if…

  • You have analysts and an owner who can define procedures, supervise agents and check output.
  • You want one platform for KYB and for other research work such as vendor risk or investment diligence.
  • You want published, self-serve pricing and API or MCP access today.
  • You were a Parcha customer and want continuity with the same team and engine.

Choose Sweat AI if…

  • Applications arrive overnight and at weekends and wait for your team to return.
  • You want each case returned as a sourced review your analyst can verify, with one list of what is still needed from the applicant.
  • You want your team to keep the final decision on every application.
